Ola Hoglund and Marie Simberg Hoglund have worked together as a team for more than three decades to create glass artwork that has earned them worldwide praise. Partners in life as well as design, their work is rapidly becoming internationally renowned and sought after by private and public collectores worldwide.
Ola and Marie moved in 1982 from Sweden to Nelson, New Zealand, and have spent time in Swaziland, Africa ona Swedish government development project. This move allowed them to perfect European traditional techniques, with the freedom and inspiration of their new surroundings. here Ola and Marie have established the Hoglund Art Glass - International Glass Centre, which hosts galleries, glass museum, engraving studio and coldwork lounge and also offers international instructors, glass artists, students and welcomes visitors.
Hoglund Art Glass has been exhibited in more than 20 international exhibtions, including the New York Art Expo and SOFA Exhibition Chicago, art exhibtions and trade fairs in New Zealand, australia, Germany, sweden, US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Indonesia and Japan. Also appointed officail Team New Zealand and America's Cup glass artists 2000 and 2003, and created the art glas for the Sydney 2000 Olympic MIllenium Games. Also in 2002 New Zealand Post and Royal Sweden Post released a joint prestigious Limited Edition stamp issue featuring - Art meets Craft, featuring an Hoglund Rainforest Graal vase.
